Mars Enters Aries, Venus Goes Retrograde, Solar Eclipse

Mars changes signs, entering Aries on Wednesday, March 1. The planet of Action, Combat, Victory, etc. will be in its own sign until mid-April. A planet in its own sign is strong for what the planet represents. Further, Mars will not be under any malefic influence during this transit. Therefore, it's a good time for Initiating New Projects, Taking Independent Action, Engaging in Competition, etc. In your own birth chart, locate the house position of Aries. This sector of your life will be strong for new events, for moving forward, for the next 6 weeks, until April 13.
Uranus and Venus are still in Pisces and still opposite Retrograde Jupiter for March. But now that Mars is moving out of the picture, Uranus will be only influenced by two benefic planets, and can give more positive results. This is good for Realizations, Humanitarian Concerns, Finding New Approaches to Solving Problems.
Venus begins a Retrograde Period on Saturday, March 4. The planet of Romance and Agreement will be traveling "backwards" in the zodiac, in Pisces, for the next 6 weeks, until April 14. Retrograde planets are close to the Earth, therefore extra bright in the sky. Venus will be visible as the "Evening Star" on the Western horizon after sunset.
A retrograde planet is going back over the past. Therefore this is a time when Venus significations are to be "reviewed." It's a time for reassessing your Romance, Agreements, Purchases, Values, etc. Romance will be reconsidered. Sometimes this means rekindling a romance that fell apart. True Value is harder to determine when Venus is retrograde; it's not a good time to make important purchases.
The New Moon is on Sunday, February 26, @ 14 deg Aquarius. This begins the Hindu Lunar month Falguna, named for the nakshatra of the Full Moon, which will be in Uttara Phalguni. This New Moon is also a Solar Eclipse, which will be an Annular eclipse, i.e., the disc of the Sun will not be completely covered by the shadow of the Moon. The New Moon will be flanked by Neptune on one side and Mercury on the other, combining the energy of the planet of Dreams with the planet of the Rational Mind. The result is good for the Creative Imagination, but doesn't help Realistic Thinking.

Mars Opposite Jupiter, Mars Conjunct Uranus, Mercury enters Aquarius

Mars is Directly opposite Retrograde Jupiter this week. The planet of Action and Combat is attacking the planet of Ethics, Truth and Justice. This is not a good week for the higher qualities of Jupiter. Simultaneously, Jupiter is aspecting Mars: the planet of Optimism influences the planet of Action, making Rash, Risky Actions more likely. The exact opposition is on Monday February 27: Jupiter at 28 deg Virgo; Mars @ 28 deg Pisces.
Mars conjunct Uranus this week. This is a rather combustible combination: the planet of Violence together with the planet of Sudden Events =high potential for Accidents. The aspect of Jupiter, planet of Increase, shining on the Mars-Uranus conjunction serves to increase chances of a major event. Also: Mars is Violence, Uranus is Rebels, and Jupiter is Confidence = potential for Terrorist Acts. The exact conjunction is Sunday Feb 26, @ 27 deg Pisces.  More Details in this Video post.
Mercury enters Aquarius on Wednesday, Feb 22. The planet of Rational Thinking is happy in the air sign that values Contemplation, and likes acquiring Knowledge. But Mercury has to contend with its opposite, Neptune, the planet of the Dreams and the Irrational. The result is good for Imaginative Thinking, but can also lead to Confusion and Misunderstanding. The exact conjunction of Mercury and Neptune will be March 4.

Jupiter Begins Retrograde, Cancer Full Moon

Jupiter begins a Retrograde Period on Monday, Feb 6. Jupiter is at the very end of sidereal Virgo, 29 degrees Virgo, and will now appear to move slowly backwards in the zodiac until June 9th, when it ends its retrograde phase @ 19 deg Virgo. For the next four months the significations of Jupiter will be "backwards," i.e., not operating normally. Jupiter is the planet of Increase, Prosperity, Truth & Wisdom, Guru, Belief, Religion, Optimism, and Opportunity. These areas of life will be in some way Distorted over coming months.
Uranus is directly opposite Jupiter, in the last degrees of Pisces. The planet of Sudden Events, Freedom & Rebellion, has been impacting Jupiter for the last couple of months, and will continue to do so until Uranus moves into Aries in early April. Additionally, Mars the planet of Action and Combat, is moving forwards in Pisces and therefore combining its energy with Uranus. The two will be conjunct at the end of February, while directly opposite Retrograde Jupiter. Thus besides being retrograde, Jupiter is in a bad way this month, and its significations will suffer.
Jupiter retrograde is the planet of Opportunity going "backwards," suggesting revisiting opportunities in the past and giving them a second look. Jupiter the planet of Wisdom going backwards suggests a good time for Contemplation, for learning from past events. In your own chart, the significations of the house position of Virgo would be the area for you to examine regarding past actions and realizations.
The Full Moon is on Friday, February 10, @ 28 deg Cancer. This marks the culmination of the energy of the Hindu lunar month Makkha, although this year the Full Moon is in the prior nakshatra, Ashlesha. This Full Moon is also a Partial Lunar Eclipse, which will be visible from the Eastern US.
